Uptime Mechanical on the Gold Coast seeks a skilled Motor Mechanic (General) for a full-time, permanent role. You’ll service a mix of light vehicles, 4WDs and commercial fleets in a modern workshop with up-to-date diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or related field.
• At least 1 year experience on light vehicles and 4WDs; fleet exposure is advantageous.
• Proficient with scan tools and computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes; read manuals.

Responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across light vehicles, 4WDs and fleet vehicles.
• Dismantle and replace engine components, assess wear and parts.
• Perform scheduled servicing, logbook services, oil/filters changes, tune-ups.
• Test and fine-tune systems to ensure reliability and safety.
• Maintain workshop efficiency and safety standards.
