Job summary

HDD Solutions in Wangara, WA, is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our on-site workshop team. You will overhaul, install and fit out mechanical equipment and work on underground mobile equipment, with safety as a top priority.

We value hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work solo or with others. The role offers steady hours and a supportive team culture in a growing mining machinery company.

Qualifications

• Valid qualifications and licenses are required.
• A current driver’s licence is required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of WHS measures in the workplace.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Work on underground mobile equipment and gain knowledge.
• Perform mechanical tasks including overhaul, installation and fit-out of equipment.
• Maintain a strong commitment to a safe work environment.
• Show genuine interest in heavy-duty machinery.
• Ability to work alone and with others.

About us: HDD Solutions is a small mechanical mining machinery company that specializes in rebuilding and servicing heavy duty machinery on site and in our Wangara based workshop. We are seeking to add to our growing team, with mechanical fitter positions available in our Wangara workshop. Being a small company, our staff are not a number, but part of our family and we value each member of staff and what they contribute to our workplace. It is our staff that have made the most contribution to our business and our reputation throughout the industry. We have major projects throughout Western Australia that would not have transpired without the hard work and dedication of our people. Our company continues to grow with more and more projects being appointed to the company weekly.

Qualifications & experience

• All valid & relevant qualifications and licenses
• Current driver's license
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of WHS measures in the workplace
• Able to pass Pre-employment Medical

Tasks & responsibilities

• Working on Underground Mobile Equipment & gaining knowledge
• Perform mechanical related tasks such as overhaul, installation and fit out of mechanical equipment
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment
• Genuine interest in working on Heavy-Duty Machinery
• Ability to work alone & with others

Benefits

• Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm & Friday 6am - 3pm (additional hours or weekend work may be required)
• Excellent working conditions & team environment
• Overtime rates will apply after 38 hours per week
