The Treasury of Australia is seeking First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) law students to join our Law Division as paralegals. These casual positions offer a flexible schedule of around one to two days a week, with potential for additional work during semester breaks, and are based at Treasury Offices in Canberra and Sydney.

Successful candidates will receive induction, training, and mentoring, and will be expected to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct legal research to support Treasury officer’s engagement with stakeholders, including drafting and reviewing materials as needed.
• Assist in development of international taxation treaties.
• Help manage litigation support tasks, including preparing court documents and engaging in discovery processes.
• Receive induction, training and mentoring, with opportunities to build skills and network within the department.
