Job summary
GM Fire is a Queensland fire services contractor on the Gold Coast, seeking an experienced Fire Technician or Licensed Electrician with fire experience to join our team from now through to the year-end.
Responsibilities include installing, terminating and commissioning fire detection systems, cable installation, fault-finding and working with other trades to meet deadlines. Must have a Queensland electrical licence and relevant fire qualifications, White Card and a valid driver’s licence.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with fire detection and EWIS systems.
- QLD Electrical Licence and/or relevant fire protection qualifications/licensing.
- White Card and a current driver's licence are required.
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work unsupervised.
- Experience with panels such as Pertronic, Ampac or Notifier.
- EWP and working at heights tickets.
- Commissioning experience on commercial sites.

We're after an experienced Fire Technician or Licensed Electrician with fire experience to join our team on the Gold Coast, starting immediately and running through to the end of the year.
Key responsibilities
Installing, terminating and commissioning fire detection and occupant warning systems (FIP/EWIS)
Cable installation, device fit-off and loop testing
Fault-finding and rectification on new and existing systems
Working alongside builders and other trades to meet program deadlines
Completing basic documentation and reporting
About you
QLD Electrical Licence and/or relevant fire protection qualifications/licensing
Hands-on experience with fire detection and EWIS systems
White Card
Current driver's licence

Experience with common panel brands (e.g. Pertronic, Ampac, Notifier)
