Job summary

Queensland Government's Central Region Fire Team is seeking a Ranger (Fire Operations) to lead planned burning and bushfire response across protected areas. You'll work with QPWS&P, fire services, First Nations and partners to deliver safe, effective fire management outcomes and support land management goals.

The role requires hands-on field work, strong judgement, and the ability to travel for deployments and after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire management, bushfire operations or emergency response.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly and perform after-hours work.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and risk management.

• Planning and implementing planned burning and wildfire management activities.
• Participating in bushfire response, incident management and emergency operations.
