Thentic in Sydney is seeking an experienced Fire Panel Technician to join a specialist fire protection team. The role focuses on programming, fault finding and defect rectification across commercial and industrial sites, with emphasis on diagnostic work and complex issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fire Panel Technician, Fire Systems Technician or Fire Alarm Technician.
• Ideally an Electrician but open to skilled Technicians.
• Experience toward programming & fault finding on fire indicator panels.
• Ability to diagnose and rectify issues & fire detection system faults; testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Programming and configuring fire indicator panels (FIPs).
• Diagnosing faults and rectifying panel defects.
• Troubleshooting fire detection and alarm systems.
• Fire panel replacements, upgrades and commissioning.
• Scheduled testing and rectification of existing fire systems.

Our client is an established fire protection business delivering specialist fire detection, maintenance and compliance services across commercial and industrial environments.

This brand are a specialist across various areas of Fire systems for Dry, Wet, Passive and more. This role is acting as a Lead Electrician for their Dry Fire side.

With a strong technical team and an extensive portfolio of clients, they are seeking an experienced Fire Panel Technician who enjoys the technical side of fire systems, particularly programming, diagnostics and complex fault finding.

Position

This is a specialist role focused predominantly on fire panel programming, fault finding and defect rectification along with general testing of sites.

You’ll work across a range of fire detection systems, diagnosing issues, resolving faults and ensuring panels and associated equipment operate correctly.

Responsibilities include:

• Programming and configuring fire indicator panels (FIPs)
• Diagnosing faults and rectifying panel defects
• Troubleshooting fire detection and alarm systems
• Fire panel replacements, upgrades and commissioning
• Scheduled testing and rectification of existing fire systems
• Occasional work on Vesda gas suppression control panels

• Salary hourly rate $55 - $65 per hour + super + vehicle
