Job summary

TalentWeb is partnering with an established Sydney builder to appoint an experienced Finishes Foreman for a major high-rise residential development. You will own finishing packages, coordinate trades and drive the program from internal fit-out through to handover.

With a background in Class 2 residential or mixed-use projects and a track record of leading teams, you will ensure quality workmanship while maintaining progress against milestones and a demanding schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading finishing packages on large-scale Class 2 residential or mixed-use developments.
• Experience coordinating finishing trades and managing construction programs.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in delivering workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate finishing trades across apartments, common areas and associated works (plasterboard, waterproofing, tiling, joinery, painting, flooring).
• Manage daily site activities, trade sequencing and short-term construction programs to meet milestones.
• Maintain high standards of quality, oversee inspections, defect identification and rectification.
• Collaborate with Site Manager to resolve issues and manage subcontractor performance while keeping progress on track.
• Coordinate staged completion, final inspections and handover to ensure specs are met.

TalentWeb is partnering with an established Sydney builder with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use developments. With over 1,000 apartments currently under construction and a $3bn+ pipeline of projects, the business offers long‑term stability and the opportunity to work on some of Sydney's most significant developments.

The business is looking to appoint an experienced Finishes Foreman to join its construction team on a major high‑rise residential development progressing through internal fit‑out.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you will take ownership of finishing packages across allocated areas of the development. You will be responsible for coordinating finishing trades, driving the construction program and ensuring a consistently high standard of workmanship through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate finishing trades across apartments, common areas and associated works, including plasterboard, waterproofing, tiling, joinery, painting and flooring.
• Manage daily site activities, trade sequencing and short‑term construction programs to achieve key milestones.
• Maintain high standards of quality, overseeing inspections, defect identification and rectification.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and project team to resolve issues, manage subcontractor performance and maintain progress.
• Coordinate staged completion, final inspections and handover, ensuring finishing works meet project specifications and quality requirements.

About You

• Proven experience as a Finishes Foreman on large-scale Class 2 residential or mixed‑use developments.
• Background working with an established head contractor or developer‑builder in Australia.
• Recent experience managing internal finishing packages on multi‑storey residential developments comprising 100+ apartments.
• A strong eye for detail and genuine pride in delivering quality workmanship, with the ability to maintain standards without compromising the construction program.
• A natural leader who builds strong relationships with subcontractors, earns the respect of trades and holds people accountable.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
