Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie Group is seeking professionals for its Financial Crime - Technology, Data & AI team in Australia. The role focuses on helping clients understand and manage financial crime risk with advanced data analytics and model validation skills.

You will work with specialists, executives, and directors to deliver AML/CTF, sanctions, and ABC projects, using SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms, while engaging stakeholders across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Australian AML/CTF, sanctions, ABC or fraud obligations in a client-facing role.
• Experience in data analytics, data science, or quantitative risk in a large organisation or consulting firm.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with hands-on transaction and customer data analysis.
• Experience evaluating or validating financial crime detection/monitoring platforms or cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Engage with client stakeholders and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with Risk Advisory and legal teams to address financial crime risk and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to multiple engagements through proposals, pre-engagement work, deliverables, workshops, and final reports.
• Support engagement lifecycle from scoping through billing across multiple projects.
