Our client, a major player in the infrastructure industry, is seeking an outstanding Financial Controller for a high-profile statutory reporting and technical advisory role. This position has gained significant visibility due to the number of transactions and is central to the organisation’s financial governance and commercial decision-making.

About the Role
  • Lead a team responsible for statutory reporting and the audit committee papers process for the Group.
  • Act as a key technical advisor, regularly consulted by senior stakeholders on governance matters and commercial transactions.
  • Provide expert assessment of potential deals and contracts, challenging and advising to achieve the most commercially advantageous outcomes for the Group.
  • Interact frequently with the most senior leaders, offering technical accounting expertise and strategic input.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder relationships, often needing to push back and influence outcomes while maintaining trust and credibility.
  • Demonstrate empathetic, authentic leadership for a team experiencing ongoing change, fostering resilience and engagement.
About You
  • CA / CPA qualified, with extensive experience in statutory reporting, technical accounting, and audit processes within large, complex organisations (ideally infrastructure or related sectors).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and manage change with empathy and authenticity.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of advising senior executives and boards.
  • Deep technical expertise, able to challenge and guide commercial decisions for optimal outcomes.
  • Proven success operating at pace, managing multiple priorities, and delivering results in a high-profile environment.
