Job summary

Amalgamated Property Group in Canberra seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, budgeting and strategic analysis across a diverse portfolio of property entities.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage month-end and year-end processes, consolidate statutory reports, oversee cashflow and taxation, and drive governance and process improvements while partnering with senior stakeholders to support growth and investment decisions.

Qualifications

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role.
  • Strong financial reporting, compliance and cashflow management expertise.
  • Advanced Xero and Excel skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and organisational capability.
  • Property, development, construction or real estate industry experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

About Amalgamated Property Group

Amalgamated Property Group (APG) is a privately owned Canberra-based property development and investment business with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial and build-to-rent developments.

As APG's business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance, governance and strategic direction of the group.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead financial reporting, cashflow and treasury management, compliance, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis across a diverse portfolio of entities.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
