Job summary

Unison Solar Energy is expanding its finance department and recruiting a Financial Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance and controls across the business.

In this role you will oversee end-to-end close, budgeting and forecasting, audit and tax activities, treasury and financial controls, while partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and informed decision-making for a fast-growing renewable energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification and strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS and tax requirements.
• Demonstrated financial control or accounting experience within a corporate or project environment.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial planning to support business decisions.
• Manage core accounting operations and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee financial compliance for grants, green tariffs, subsidies and renewable energy projects; drive finance process, systems and control improvements.
• Partner with business leaders to provide insights, manage financial risks and improve performance.
• Lead and develop the finance team, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead the end-to-end financial close, consolidation, reporting and performance analysis.

In this role you will lead the end-to-end financial close, budgeting and forecasting, audit and tax activities, treasury and financial controls, while partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and informed decision-making.
