Job summary

Busways, a reliable NSW transport operator, is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to support CFO-driven reporting and controls. The role covers month-end, statutory compliance, and cashflow oversight in a dynamic international business with Australian operations.

You will deliver timely financial reporting, maintain accounts integrity, and assist with payroll governance and group consolidations while collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualifications required with 5+ years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills and month-end close expertise.
• Knowledge of Australian statutory reporting and tax obligations.
• Experience with payroll providers and payroll-related accounting.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end accounting including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Produce month-end reporting including group reporting.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate variances.
• Prepare BAS, FBT, payroll tax and payroll-related schedules.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cashflow monitoring.
