Job summary

BaptistCare is seeking a Financial Accountant to support Retirement Living services, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance across the organisation.

You will partner with Retirement Living teams, translating financial information into actionable insights. Candidates should have CA/CPA and substantial Excel proficiency, with experience in reconciliations and external reporting. Flexible work arrangements and study support are available.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role.
• Strong experience with full trial balance and reconciliations.
• Experience producing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
• Experience with Technology One or AlayaCare.

Responsibilities

• Ensure financial sustainability, compliance and strong support for services.
• Partner with Retirement Living teams to translate financial data into insights.
• Prepare full trial balance and reconciliations.
• Produce financial reports for stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and financial planning processes.

About You:

• CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Financial Accountant role
• Strong experience preparing full trial balance and reconciliations
• Experience producing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
• Experience with Technology One, AlayaCare, or similar financial management systems
• Experience in the aged care, home care, healthcare, community services, or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable
