Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Financial Accountant for an established FMCG business in Australia. You will link the Financial accounting and Operations teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

You will manage month-end close, assist budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights to stakeholders. A degree in Accounting/Finance and CA/CPA progress are required, with PowerBI proficiency and excellent analytical skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in the FMCG or Manufacturing industry is highly regarded.
• CA/CPA qualification completed or currently working towards.
• Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in PowerBI.
• Understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic decision-making.
• Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Oversee compliance with tax regulations and support audits as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
