Job summary

Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail freight operator, seeks a Finance Systems Lead to drive development, optimisation and governance of Anaplan and Power BI. You will work with Finance, Technology and business stakeholders to improve planning, forecasting and profitability analytics across the business.

You’ll lead a hands-on team focused on automation and continuous improvement, translating complex requirements into practical technical solutions that elevate reporting and insight.

Qualifications

• Anaplan Solution Architect certification or higher is essential.
• Hands-on experience building and optimising complex Anaplan models.
• Strong Anaplan administration including governance, user management, integrations.
• Power BI development expertise with dashboards, data modelling, DAX and Power Query.
• Experience developing financial, commercial or profitability reporting frameworks.
• Python experience for data processing, automation or analytics is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimisation and governance of Anaplan across Finance.
• Oversee model design, integrations, performance and controls.
• Lead Power BI development delivering dashboards and analytics.
• Own and improve the Profitability Reporting Framework with insights.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve Finance systems and processes.
• Translate requirements into practical technical solutions with stakeholders.
