Job summary

The Australian Digital Health Agency is seeking a Finance Policy Officer to strengthen financial governance, policy development and training across the organisation. You will provide expert financial policy advice, support the Net Zero Strategy, and engage with stakeholders to ensure compliant financial management practices.

The role requires strong analytical skills, policy knowledge, and the ability to deliver training and guidance to diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Lead the review and maintenance of the Agency's financial policy framework, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and strong governance.
• Provide high-quality financial policy advice to stakeholders using sound judgement and analytical skills.
• Develop and deliver financial management training and guidance to build organisational capability.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of the Agency's Net Zero Strategy and manage related risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, development and maintenance of the Agency's financial policy framework, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and supporting effective financial governance.
• Provide high-quality financial policy advice to stakeholders, applying sound judgement, analytical skills and a strong understanding of financial management principles to resolve complex issues.
• Develop and deliver financial management training, guidance and education programs to build organisational capability and improve understanding of financial obligations across the Agency.
• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Agency's Net Zero Strategy, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and managing associated risks.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes and collaborating to achieve strategic objectives.
• Demonstrate strong research, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently on complex policy matters.
