Overview

Join to apply for the Finance Officer role at Flinders University. The Finance Officer - Rural and Remote Health provides a broad range of financial services supporting operations across South Australia and the Northern Territory. The role works with budget holders to assist with budgets and forecasts, produces accurate financial reports, and supports administrative staff in the use of financial systems. This position may be located at any Flinders University Rural and Remote Health site across SA and the NT.

Base pay and Location

Base pay range: A$82,657.00/yr – A$91,222.00/yr.

Location: Any SA or NT Rural and Remote Health Campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial services to support operations across SA and NT Rural and Remote Health.
• Work with budget holders to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Produce accurate financial reports and provide commentary as needed.
• Support administrative staff in the use of financial systems and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

About You – Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and manage priorities under minimal supervision.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or advanced diploma with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Proven experience in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including analysis and explanatory commentary.
• Strong attention to detail with proficiency in record keeping, data entry, and spreadsheet management.
• Familiarity with contemporary finance and administrative systems, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.
• 2-4 years of experience in a finance-related role.
