We are seeking a motivated Finance Officer to join our dynamic Finance Team. The Finance Officer plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the College and providing high-quality assistance to the Director of Finance and Head of Business Services. This position offers exposure across accounts payable, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation, with opportunities to further develop your technical capability and apply your financial skills in a broad and meaningful context.
Prepare and process all accounts payable documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, supplier statements, archiving, and credit card reconciliations.
Assist staff, parents, suppliers, and other stakeholders with enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and processed within the TASS Finance Module.
Maintain supplier records and support Concur credit card reconciliation processes.
Coordinate quotes and bookings for staff, as required.
Generate accurate and timely end-of-month and quarterly financial and management reports, including variance analysis.
Monitor expenditure and assist Budget Holders with school-level forecasting and reporting.
Support budget preparation for College events such as the Musical, Semi-Formal, Year 12 Formal, and Valedictory.
Assist with the financial management of staff and student co-curricular activities.
Prepare and dispatch payments to creditors, including staff reimbursements.
Provide administrative support and deliver financial reporting as requested by the Director of Finance and / or Head of Business Services.
Provide back-up support to Accounts Receivable and other accounting functions as needed.
Assist with Annual and 5-Year Strategic Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting, and liaise with ASC and ANFIN regarding regular reporting requirements.
Support preparation for annual external audit and FBT return processes.
Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Finance and / or Head of Business Services.

A Bachelor's Degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent knowledge and experience (min. 3 years industry experience)
CPA / CA qualification or willingness to obtain (highly desirable)
A willingness to learn and adapt to new finance systems
Professional communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills
Strong administrative and financial processing skills, including accurate data entry, reconciliation, and record-keeping
Experience preparing financial and management reports, including variance analysis and budgeting
Working knowledge of accounting standards, year-end processes, external audit preparation, and FBT compliance
