Job summary

Melbourne Airport (Australia Pacific Airports Corporation) is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to lead APAC's financial control and accounting operations in Melbourne. You will manage day-to-day accounting, drive month-end close, asset and tax accounting, and partner with Treasury on liquidity planning.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on governance, process improvement and developing the finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medium to large finance team in a public or private company.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge leading month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, audit and financial control activities.
• Sound commercial judgement, business acumen and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting and reporting, including month-end close, balance sheet integrity and timely reporting.
• Manage fixed assets, capital and tax accounting, and input to long-term modelling and capital planning.
• Partner with Treasury on funding, debt transactions, cash flow forecasting and liquidity reporting.
• Drive technical accounting and statutory reporting, including financial statements and Audit, Risk and Finance Committee materials.
• Strengthen controls and pursue continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
