Job summary

Western Sydney University invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Lecturer in Finance at Parramatta City Campus. You will deliver high-quality teaching across finance disciplines, design and coordinate units, and contribute to curriculum development, reflecting contemporary practice.

You will engage in research, supervise HDR students, publish in high-quality journals, and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in Finance or related field.
• Excellent university-level teaching record with feedback and curriculum development.
• Developing research profile with high-quality journal publications or capacity to publish in ABDC A* and A journals.
• Experience in curriculum design and innovation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills with students, colleagues and industry.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and a respectful learning environment.
• Highly desirable: availability to commence as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across finance discipline areas.
• Design and coordinate units supporting student progression from undergrad to postgrad research.
• Engage in research activities, publish outputs and contribute to grant applications.
• Supervise research students and build research capacity.
• Collaborate across the University and with external partners; contribute to administration.
