Job summary

City of Palmerston invites applications for the Finance Data and Systems Officer role. You will work with the Finance Data and Systems Lead to ensure accurate financial data, budgets and reporting, and contribute to forecasting, cashflow, investments, and long-term planning.

You will help improve financial systems, support ERP implementation, and collaborate with IT to resolve issues. A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business, with at least three years' experience, is required;

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business with at least three years’ experience and an interest in financial data, systems and analysis.
• Experience with financial models and corporate management systems to interpret information and identify trends.
• Clear, confident communication, collaborative work style and strong organisation.
• Commitment to pursuing CA or CPA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Council’s financial data, systems, budgets and reporting are accurate and reliable.
• Assist with financial forecasting, cashflow and investment reporting, budgeting and long-term planning.
• Help improve financial systems and processes; maintain data integrity.
• Support ERP implementation and coordinate with IT to resolve system issues.
