  • Deliver variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting
  • Support policy and procedure development across the finance function
  • Provide financial modelling, analysis and ad hoc support as required
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to enhance financial capability and understanding
About you

  • Experience preparing and analysing financial reports
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and draw insights from data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance audiences
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with medium-sized financial management systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience within a Big 4 accounting firm or similar professional services environment
  • Experience in research, health, not-for-profit or project-based organisations
Special requirements
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • A current National Police Certificate will be required.

At SAHMRI, you'll contribute to work that genuinely improves health outcomes for communities locally and globally.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to partner with respected research and business leaders
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities
  • Modern offices located in Adelaide's biomedical precinct
  • Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 per annum
  • Employee wellbeing initiatives and flexible working arrangements where operationally appropriate
