Job summary

University of Sydney is seeking a Lead, Applications Support & Maintenance Specialist – Finance to manage in-depth support for enterprise finance applications, with a focus on PeopleSoft Financials. You will collaborate with Finance, ICT and external vendors to keep platforms stable and aligned with evolving business needs.

The role requires strong technical skills, stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering practical technology solutions in a large ICT environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience with PeopleTools tools and related technologies.
• Experience in integrations using PeopleSoft Integration Broker.
• Expert knowledge of core PeopleSoft Financials modules: GL, AP, Purchasing, Billing, AR, AM.
• Experience in large, complex enterprise finance environments and incident management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for enterprise finance apps.
• Investigate incidents, find root causes and coordinate major incidents.
• Coordinate patches, upgrades, testing and release management.
• Advise on solution design, integrations, customization and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Finance, ICT and vendors to deliver service outcomes.
• Mentor team members and contribute to standards and knowledge sharing.
