  • We provide the flexibility and support that make More a place where people love to work and achieve their ambitions.
  • Together we'll make connectivity simpler and create better experiences for our customers.
More About More

More and Tangerine are fast-growing Australian-owned telecommunications brands delivering high-quality NBN, mobile, voice, and business connectivity solutions to customers across Australia. Our mission is simple: to make connectivity easy to understand, so customers can spend more time enjoying their services and less time navigating the complexities of telco.

Guided by our values of Start with the Customer, Simplicity for Speed, Community of Individuals, and Collaborate to Win , we're building a culture where people can contribute new ideas, make a meaningful impact, and help shape the future of telecommunications in Australia.

About The Opportunity

The Finance Analyst - Reporting and Controls is a hands-on role at the centre of More's financial planning, reporting and analysis. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and working closely with the wider business, you will help turn financial and operational data into insight.

You will have broad exposure across FP&A, management reporting, financial control, forecasting, modelling, audit, governance and finance operations. This is not a traditional financial accountant role. We are looking for someone who is curious about business, enjoys solving problems and wants to use data, automation and technology to make finance smarter and more efficient.

You’ll Be Successful In This Role If
  • Financial reporting & month-end - You coordinate the finance month-end timetable, prepare journals, accruals and provisions, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accounting Policy & Technical Accounting - You develop and maintain accounting policies, prepare technical position papers, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Management reporting & performance analysis - You prepare monthly management reporting, analyse actual results against budget, forecast and prior periods, identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities, and support reporting and insights for leadership teams.
  • Financial controls & governance - You maintain effective financial controls and finance processes, and support compliance with delegated authorities and financial approval frameworks.
  • Audit, statutory reporting & compliance - You coordinate information and deliverables for external audit, and support preparation of statutory financial reporting.
  • Vendor & finance administration - You maintain finance records relating to vendors and contracts, and support vendor onboarding and financial approval processes.
  • Finance systems, data, AI & automation - You identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting activities, using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Business partnering - You build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business, helping leaders understand their financial performance and key drivers.
About You

We don’t expect you to tick every box, but we’re looking for a finance professional who is analytical, curious and ready to get hands-on across planning, reporting and controls:

  • CA, CPA, part-qualified or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills, including advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and month-end financial reporting processes.
  • Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and solve financial and process issues.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how a business operates.
Nice to have
  • Telecommunications, technology, subscription or high-volume customer business experience.
  • Experience with Power BI, ERP or other financial planning systems.
  • Experience using AI or automation tools.
  • External audit experience, or experience preparing or supporting statutory financial reporting.
  • Experience in a high-growth or transformation environment.
Key Focus Areas In Your First Few Months

You’ll focus on building context, creating visibility and delivering early impact. Your priorities will include:

  • Get across More's month-end, reporting and forecasting processes and timetables.
  • Build working relationships with the Head of Commercial Finance and key stakeholders across the business.
  • Support the current budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycle while learning the detail behind the numbers.
  • Identify quick wins to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency or automation.
  • Understand existing financial controls, vendor arrangements and audit requirements.
  • Begin contributing to commercial analysis and business case support where needed.
What We Offer
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements that support work-life balance, wellbeing, and collaboration.
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave as per the parental policy.
  • Free internet and mobile plan.
  • An additional day of paid leave to celebrate your birthday, plus a gift voucher.
  • Free access to confidential counselling and 24/7 wellbeing support through our EAP.
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Supportive leaders and teams that value initiative, accountability, and success.
