Job summary

Value NSW, part of the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, is seeking an Assistant Finance Analyst to collect, analyse and maintain financial data for monthly reporting, forecasting and budget monitoring. The role supports detailed financial reporting, journal processing and independent data integrity across the organisation.

The position offers a negotiable NSW office location with hybrid working, and a salary ranging from $102,936 to $113,579 plus super.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial data, reports, reconciliations and records in a busy environment.
• Sound financial reporting, budgeting and analytical skills, with the ability to use financial information to support clear reporting outcomes and practical business insights.
• Good communication and stakeholder service skills, with the ability to provide routine financial information in a clear, helpful and customer-focused way.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and maintain financial data to support monthly reporting, forecasting and budget monitoring across Value NSW.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules, process and reconcile routine transactions, journals and general ledger data, and support month-end and year-end outcomes.
• Research and compile financial information to support business cases, briefing material and internal information requests, while maintaining finance systems and records.
