Job summary

Butterfields Services in Adelaide seeks a Finance and Administration Manager to lead the finance and administration functions, providing strategic insights and robust financial reporting. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a finance leadership role.
• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
• Experience in trade services, construction, or related industry will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to AI-enabled finance tools or workflow automation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to a small finance team
• Oversee banking, debtors, creditors, debt collection, timesheets, and disbursements
• Review and approve accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and vendor payments
• Manage end-of-month, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes
• Process highly automated, weekly payroll
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Lead the implementation of financial systems and workflow enhancements
• Manage facilities-related administration, including security, insurance, fleet, telecommunications, and office requirements
• Work closely with the groups external accountants to ensure compliance with all financial, taxation, and statutory obligations
