Job summary

RMS Engineering & Construction in Mackay QLD is seeking experienced Final Trim Grader Operators to join our civil construction team on projects across the Townsville region. You will operate graders to final trim tolerances, read plans, and contribute to high-quality road and subdivision works.

Ideal candidates will hold a current RII Grader competency, have proven experience on civil infra projects, and possess a Construction White Card, a valid driver’s licence, and reliable transport.

• Experience on road, subdivision or large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work to design levels and specifications.

About the Role

Working as part of an experienced civil construction team, you will be responsible for:

• Operating graders to final trim tolerances on civil construction projects.

• Reading and interpreting plans and levels.

• Producing high-quality finished surfaces for roads, subdivisions and other civil works.

• Conducting daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance of plant.

• Working safely and efficiently within a team environment.

• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship while meeting project deadlines.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current RII Grader competency.

• Demonstrated experience operating graders to final trim standard.

• Experience working on road, subdivision or large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

• Proven ability to work accurately to design levels and specifications.

• Construction White Card.

• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, functional assessment, and drug & alcohol screening.

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes.

• Additional RII competencies for other civil plant and machinery - highly regarded
