Job summary

Falcon Contracting is seeking experienced Underground HD Fitters and Diesel Fitters for FIFO roles across Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. These are ongoing opportunities with 7/7, 8/6 rosters and other options.

You will work across multiple underground fleets and sites, with flights and accommodation arranged where applicable, medical and onboarding support, and a path to longer-term site positions.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised HD Fitter, Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle trade qualification.
• Underground mining experience.
• Strong breakdown and diagnostic skills.
• Experience on underground mobile equipment.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Ability to pass site medical and drug & alcohol requirements.
• Good safety record.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work across different sites and crews.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Breakdown diagnosis and repair.
• Hydraulic and mechanical fault-finding.
• Component replacement.
• Field repairs.
• Equipment inspections.
• Maintenance reporting and documentation.
• Working within Falcon and client safety systems.
