Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking an experienced Haul Truck Operator to safely operate CAT 777 or above haul trucks on a 7/7 FIFO roster. You will perform pre-starts, inspections and routine checks, maintaining high safety standards and clear communication with the crew.

The role offers a strong earning potential with an attractive hourly rate and full FIFO travel from Rockhampton or Townsville. You’ll work in a well-equipped site providing meals, accommodation and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months mining haul truck experience.
• RII certificate from RTO.
• Coal Board Medical (Standard 11) or willingness to obtain.
• Current driving licence.
• Strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate large haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete pre-starts, inspections and routine checks.
• Communicate effectively with team and site personnel.
• Contribute to a safe work environment and report hazards.
• Maintain productivity during 12.5-hour FIFO shifts.
