Job summary

Aurenne Group Mining, a privately owned gold miner operating at Mt Ida in WA, is seeking an Exploration Geologist for a hands-on field role within a large diamond and RC drilling program. The role involves drill planning, supervision, logging, sampling, QA/QC and geological interpretation as part of a busy project with FIFO 8:6, Thursday-Thursday, 5+ years mine life.

You will work closely with drilling and mining teams, contribute to logging and data management, and help drive safety culture on

Qualifications

• BSc Geology or equivalent.
• 2+ years' Exploration Geology experience.
• Gold exploration experience desirable.
• WA C Class Driver's manual Licence.
• Experience with ArcGIS, Acquire or Leapfrog.
• Strong understanding of drilling, sampling and QA/QC.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Current National Police Clearance.

Aurenne Group Mining is a privately owned, family-run gold miner operating at Mt Ida, 80 km from Menzies in WA's Goldfields.

We're growing our exploration program and looking for a hands-on Exploration Geologist who wants more than sitting behind a desk.

You'll be out in the field working across a large Diamond and RC drilling program, getting involved in everything from drill planning and supervision through to logging, sampling, QA/QC and geological interpretation.

What you'll be doing

• Geological fieldwork, mapping, sampling and drill planning
• Diamond and RC drill supervision
• Core and RC logging and sampling
• QA/QC and geological data management
• Geological interpretation and target generation
• Working closely with drilling and mining teams
• Field logistics, equipment and consumables
• Supporting a strong safety culture on site

What we're looking for

• BSc Geology or equivalent
