Job summary

Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee is seeking a Natural Regenerator to lead field teams across Greater Brisbane. You will apply advanced bush regeneration practices, mentor staff, and drive high-quality ecological restoration projects while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role requires experience in natural area restoration, weed control, road and site safety, and the ability to work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field teams in ecological restoration projects.
• Strong knowledge of bush regeneration and native ecosystems.
• Ability to mentor staff and maintain safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead small field teams to deliver bushland restoration projects with safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Apply weed management, erosion control and native ecosystem recovery knowledge on-ground.
• Coach and develop staff, modelling safe work behaviours and best practices.
• Ensure environmental compliance, WHS standards and operational discipline.
• Collect data, map sites, prepare reports, and support client liaison and planning.
• Provide operational support to the Operations Manager and collaborate to meet project goals.
• Demonstrate experience leading teams in natural area restoration environments.
• Maintain practical skills in regeneration, weed control, and ecological restoration.
• Maintain knowledge of local ecosystems, native species, and invasive plant management.
• Maintain high physical fitness for outdoor conditions.
• Hold Construction White Card and First Aid certifications; have a current driver’s licence.
• Hold Chemical certification - ACDC; possess 4WD operation qualifications.
