Job summary

Linde plc in Adelaide's Torrensville seeks an experienced Service Technician to join our Customer Engineering Services team. This permanent full-time role focuses on maintaining BOC equipment at customer sites across South Australia, ensuring reliability and safe operation.

You will diagnose faults, service and maintain equipment, travel across metropolitan Adelaide, and build strong customer relationships while adhering to safety standards and documenting activities with digital tools.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in a mechanical or related field.
• Current Australian driver's licence with a good driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance and fault finding.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• Experience in industrial gases or related field is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain BOC and customer-owned equipment at customer and BOC sites in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Attend service calls, diagnose faults and rectify equipment issues while providing a high level of customer service.
• Build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call roster, typically one week in every four weeks.
• Promote the safe use of BOC products, including cryogenic liquids, compressed gases and associated equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented using the digital tools provided.
• Work collaboratively with fellow Service Technicians and the broader Customer Engineering Services team.
• Travel regularly throughout metropolitan Adelaide, with occasional regional and remote site visits.
