Job summary

GER Australia is seeking an entry-level Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and component repairs on Volvo/Scania cab chassis and explosives manufacturing equipment. The role involves FIFO from Perth to multiple site locations, with accommodation and meals provided and various rosters available.

You will service and repair mechanical equipment, be trained in explosives industry procedures, and work both onsite and in the workshop, with opportunities for career development within a growing

Qualifications

• Trade Cert or Engineering Cert as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Practical understanding of mechanical equipment used in transfer and handling of products such as telehandlers and mobile augers.
• Strong safety focus
• DGSC Required

Responsibilities

• Schedule servicing, maintenance & breakdown response.
• Know and understand relevant procedures, policy's.
• Carry out investigations and provide feedback on possible repairs/solutions.
• Be willing to undertake training specific to the explosives industry.
• Work onsite and in workshop.
• Be able/willing to fly/drive to sites across Western Australia.
• Pass Medicals and drug & alcohol test for site access.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has become available. The position involves FIFO work from Perth to a variety of locations. all travel to site, accommodation and meals are supplied, and various rosters are available. You will be required to carry out component repairs, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on modern VOLVO, SCANIA Cab Chassis, High-quality explosive manufacturing equipment, a variety of other light vehicles and ancillary equipment.
