Job summary

Hastings Deering invites experienced Diesel Fitters and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our remote field service team in Queensland. You will diagnose, service, and repair heavy mining and construction equipment in the field, maximise uptime, and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to identify problems and deliver repair solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment – diagnose, service, and repair heavy mining and construction equipment.
• Prevent downtime – perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs in the field to maximise equipment availability and productivity.
• Keep accurate records – complete detailed service and maintenance documentation to support compliance, reporting, and equipment history.
• Support customers – deliver exceptional customer service and technical support, providing timely advice and effective solutions.
• Work safely every day – maintain a strong commitment to safety standards, site requirements, and compliance procedures at all times.
