Job summary

Gippsland Water is seeking a safety and wellbeing-focused professional to own safety training programs and initiatives across our teams in Victoria. The role centers on engaging people, delivering site inspections, and promoting continual safety improvements.

You will apply OHS legislation to support policy review and contribute to our strategic objectives, including leading structured incident investigations to strengthen organisational learning and reduce recurrence.

Qualifications

• Ter­tiary qualification or equivalent in safety.
• Experience interpreting and applying safety legislation, policies and procedures.
• Ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice and support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety and wellbeing training, programs and initiatives.
• Act as first point of contact for safety practices in field-based settings.
• Contribute to cyclical review of OHS policies and procedures to support strategic objectives.
• Lead incident investigations using a systems-based approach to prevent recurrence.
