Job summary

Simplot Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Operations Specialist for the Raw Procurement division at the Ulverstone facility. You will coordinate potato supply, liaise with growers and freight providers, monitor quality and inventory, and support crop monitoring and safety programs.

The role offers long-term career opportunities within a global food and agriculture business, with a focus on efficient raw material delivery to multiple Tasmanian sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in agriculture, agronomy, food manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related disciplines.
• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence and willingness to pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily raw potato scheduling and delivery to support production, quality, cost and regulatory needs.
• Liaise with growers, freight providers, loading crews and manufacturing teams for efficient movement of raw product.
• Monitor loading, receiving, quality grading and processing performance across locations.
• Conduct crop progress sampling and data collection throughout seasons.
• Support storage management and raw inventory reporting.
• Prepare accurate operational records and statistics for planning decisions.
• Support safety, food safety and finished product quality standards.
• Provide infield operation support as required.
