Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities division seeks a field-based meter reader to access residential, commercial, and industrial sites, update readings, and report field conditions. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, walking long distances, and supporting occasional surveys or inspections.

Paid training is provided and a company vehicle is available for duties. This role keeps you active, on the move, and part of a close‑knit team with clear processes and a strong safety culture across our utilities

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence required.
• Reliable vehicle is desirable.
• Friendly communication and strong customer service mindset.
• Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Access residential, commercial and industrial sites to take readings and update data.
• Report field conditions and support surveys or inspections as needed.
• Work with a safety‑first mindset and follow schedules to complete tasks accurately.
