Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in the refrigeration and HVAC installation, maintenance and engineering industry.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering systems, legislation and codes.

What you’ll do
  • Work with the Engineering team on the development of the Scope of Work documents covering Refrigeration Engineering and Mechanical Services for all new store and store refurbishment projects
  • Lead the management of in-store project support activities that deliver refrigeration and mechanical works for new and store refurbishments.
  • Oversee the identification, initiation and delivery of the business units’ energy and greenhouse emissions minimisation strategies and further be involved in ensuring the successful implementation of approved projects to ensure the successful realisation of these strategies.
  • Support the development of any tendering strategy for all refrigeration investment (design, installation, equipment procurement & maintenance)
  • Audit RHVAC project delivery to ensure compliance with Woolworths specifications, Australian Standards, and best refrigeration practices, including on-time and on-budget completion within specifications, and incorporating commissioning checks and energy audits.
What you’ll bring
  • Refrigeration trade certificate. Experienced in Refrigeration and HVAC Commissioning, installation, service and project management, ideally in Supermarket refrigeration. High regard would also be given to relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the refrigeration and HVAC installation, maintenance and engineering industry, ideally in Supermarket refrigeration.
  • Commissioning and/ or installation supervisory level experience preferred
  • Excellent understanding of engineering systems, legislation and codes, including design, commissioning and installation of commercial refrigeration / air conditioning.
  • Solid Communication skillset: Confident and capable of articulating project demands and validating business requirements respectfully, across all stakeholder levels.
