ACAP’s Field Education Coordinator – Community Services will support students to develop skills, connect theory with practice, and supervise Field Education Liaison Officers and External Field Educators across placements in collaboration with the Work Integrated

Qualifications

• Qualification in community services, welfare, human services, social work or related discipline at or above the course level.
• Three years’ full-time post-qualifying practice experience (or part-time equivalent) and eligibility for full Community Work Australia membership.
• Experience in a tertiary education institution and/or RTO.
• Knowledge of current CWA fieldwork placement requirements and WHS policies and procedures.
• Strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills with commitment to continuing professional education.

Responsibilities

• Support placement planning, student allocations and preparation in line with accreditation and fieldwork requirements.
• Deliver integration seminars and placement briefings; help students connect theory with practice and reflect on learning.
• Supervise Field Education Liaison Officers and External Field Educators; contribute to their development and provide student supervision as needed.
• Monitor placement progress and learning outcomes; review feedback and maintain SONIA records.
• Collaborate with agencies and colleagues to resolve placement concerns and support at-risk placements.
• Strengthen industry partnerships and contribute to evaluation and improvement of field education and placements.
