Job summary

Protech is seeking Data Technicians with fibre and copper experience to join our team in Canberra. Multiple positions are available for a DAY shift Monday to Friday, with pay of $50-$55 per hour plus super, penalties and travel allowances.

Essential registrations include ACMA Open Cabling, White Card, silica and asbestos awareness, and a current Police check or ability to obtain one. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of data cabling standards, a current driver’s license, and the

• ACMA Open Cabling Registration required.
• White Card required.
• Police check current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and maintain fibre optic cabling systems.
• Perform fibre splicing and ribbon splicing.
• Test, fault-find, and troubleshoot cabling and network connections.
• Carry out fluke testing and provide certification reports as required.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of structured cabling infrastructure.
• Support network connectivity by identifying and resolving issues.
• Deliver high level of customer service.
