Job summary

A care service provider in Sydney is urgently hiring a Female Disability Support Worker. The role involves providing personal care, assistance with daily activities, and companionship to individuals in need. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and previous experience in the community care sector. Support Workers will also participate in social outings and recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for clients. Expect longer weekly hours and additional short-duration services after initial weeks.

Qualifications

  • Social outings (20km round trip limit approved)

Educational Requirement : Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability Care.

  • Working With Children's Check (Employee)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Current Driver’ License & your own car
  • Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Police Check
What will you be doing in this role

You specialise in providing care, companionship, and emotional support to people, helping to support their independence and improve their quality of life.

Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, mealtimes, and general movement.

Assisting residents with community-based recreational time and social activities.

Who are we looking for

Ideally, you will have a Certificate III / IV in Aged Care or Individual Support, or some equivalent qualifications. If you are not currently qualified but would like to be, we can help you get there.

You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a strong desire to pursue in this field if you’re studying or recently qualified.

You’ll be adaptable, empathic, and resourceful, and you’ll be able to embody Care Aust’s core values of compassion, respect, creativity, and integrity.

Support worker is required to provide Domestic Assistance, Personal Care and Social Outings for these shifts.

Service Location is at Baulkham Hill, NSW.

P.S. Weekly hours will increase after the first couple of weeks. There will be more short duration services at different locations other than this service. We will expect the Support Worker to also provide service for short duration shifts.
