Job summary

CatholicCare is recruiting casual Family Time Workers for its Permanency Support Program in NSW. You will assist with family visits, ensure safety and well-being of children in out-of-home care, and communicate updates to the PSP team.

Role offers weekend and after-hours work to fit study or other commitments, with opportunities to collaborate with Foster Carers, families, and NSW DCJ. Shifts vary across weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Commitment to CatholicCare Mission, Vision and Values.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of child protection legislation, out-of-home care, PSP and safe practices.
• Experience or knowledge of engaging diverse communities, including First Nations and CALD.
• Maintain timely records and coordinate information sharing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Respect confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support family time visits.
• Document visit details and write summaries.
• Coordinate with Foster Carers and NSW DCJ.
• Maintain accurate client information system records.
• Support PSP teams and contribute to risk assessment.
• Prepare summary reports of observations from visits.
