Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland seeks a Family Counsellor to join the Maroochydore team in a permanent part-time capacity (4 days per week).

You will deliver individual, couple and group counselling to strengthen family relationships, support wellbeing, and safeguard children and adults in diverse family contexts. A relevant degree, Blue Card and current driver's licence are required, with opportunities for professional development and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Blue Card (Working with children) in Queensland.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Willingness to undergo Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, couple and group counselling and education to strengthen family relationships.
• Prevent breakdown and ensure wellbeing and safety of children and adults in diverse family contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team in a complex human services environment.
