Job summary

Designer Tanks, located in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a shop-floor assembler to support the assembly process for corrugated steel rainwater tanks. The role involves drilling, cutting, spot welding, preparing materials and setting up for jobs, and measuring to precise dimensions.

Full training will be provided. This is a full-time position with a heavy workload and strong prospects for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• On‑the‑floor tasks including drilling, cutting, spot welding.
• Prepare materials and set up for jobs.
• Measure and cut sheet metal to precise dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Perform quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
• Assemble and form sheet metal components as required.
• Maintain equipment and report faults.
• Follow health and safety procedures and workplace protocols.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Job description

Designer Tanks manufactures corrugated steel rainwater tanks and plunge pools.

We are looking for additional staff to assist on the shop floor with the assembly process.

Previous experience with sheet metal work would be an advantage but not neccessary. Full training will be provided.

This is a full time role with long term prospects. We have a significant work load.

What you'll be doing

Various tasks on the shop floor. Drilling/cutting/spot welding etc

Preparing materials and setting up for jobs

Measuring and cutting sheet metal to precise dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment

Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards

Assembling and forming sheet metal components as required

Maintaining equipment in good working order and reporting any faults or issues promptly

Following all health and safety procedures and workplace protocols

Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe

Working collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines
