Job summary

Seek is seeking a general maintenance person for a dog breeding facility. You will perform routine repairs, painting, carpentry, fencing and gate work, pressure washing and grounds upkeep to keep kennels and outdoor areas safe and clean.

Ideal candidates will have handyman or trade experience, be comfortable with power tools, work independently, stay safety-focused and hold a current driver’s licence. Ability to work around dogs and puppies is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, handyman, building or trade experience.
• Confidence using power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Good practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise jobs.
• Reliable and physically capable of hands-on work.
• Strong attention to safety.
• Current driver's licence.
• Comfortable working around dogs and puppies.
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining secure gates, fencing and animal areas.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect the property and equipment, identify maintenance issues and complete repairs promptly.
• Perform general maintenance including minor repairs, painting, basic carpentry, fencing and gate repairs.
• Carry out pressure washing and grounds maintenance.
• Keep buildings, kennels and outdoor areas safe and well maintained.
• Assist with general cleaning and other practical duties around the facility when required.
