Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to lead a team coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors across Sydney CBD. You will ensure work orders are completed efficiently, while supporting property managers with repairs, maintenance, and investment planning.

This role requires a high school diploma (or GED) with 5 years of related experience, strong organizational skills, and proficient Microsoft Office use.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead the team’s daily activities, establish schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Act as the point of contact between landlords, tenants, and service providers to ensure policy compliance.
  • Arrange regular equipment maintenance and design cleaning and disinfecting schedules.
  • Review work-order data, prepare performance reports, and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate new vendors by cost and benefit, and manage facility expenses.
  • Resolve complex issues and implement new techniques to meet objectives.
  • Ensure outcomes positively impact customer objectives and align with related teams.
  • Model CBRE values, build consensus, and guide best-practice application.
  • Schedule repairs, maintain accurate work orders, proposals, and department files.
  • Coordinate office and parking space allocation and inform internal teams.

About the Role


As a CBRE Facilities Supervisor you will lead a team that coordinates with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and according to policy. This position is part of the Facilities Management function, supporting Property Managers with all repairs, maintenance, and investment planning for our modern, corporate-designed facilities in Sydney CBD.


What You'll Do



  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.

  • Act as the point of contact for escalated communications between landlords, tenants, and service providers, ensuring procedures, policies, and reporting formats are understood and implemented.

  • Arrange regular maintenance of equipment and design the cleaning and disinfecting schedule for the building.

  • Review work-order data, create and present performance and progress status reports to management, and suggest ways to improve efficiency.

  • Conduct market research and compare costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors.

  • Track regular and ad-hoc facility expenses.

  • Resolve complex problems, identify appropriate solutions, and establish new techniques to meet team objectives.

  • Ensure personal and team outcomes positively impact customer objectives and influence related teams' success.

  • Model CBRE RISE values, build consensus, and guide the team through best practice application.

  • Schedule repairs based on work-order requests and maintain accurate work orders, proposals, and department files.

  • Coordinate office and parking space allocation and present information to internal departments and large groups of employees.

  • Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems without supervisory approval, evaluating and selecting solutions from established options.

  • Follow standardized procedures and achieve quality outcomes with moderate supervision.


Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of job-related experience.

  • Strong understanding of work routines, standards, and the application of processes, procedures, and systems.

  • Intermediate problem-solving skills with the ability to review and select solutions independently.

  • Ability to explain detailed and complex information clearly and concisely within the team.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Strong organizational skills with a robust, inquisitive mindset.

  • General math skills, including the calculation of percentages, discounts, and markups.
