Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is offering a part-time Facilities Officer role at Mount Pleasant, SA. The position involves maintaining the health unit’s facilities and grounds, performing carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical tasks, and operating forklifts and tractors.

You will support safe work practices, assist in training staff, and contribute to continuous improvement within a collaborative team. This is a pro rata, 0.2FTE position based in Mount Pleasant.

Qualificações

• General maintenance tasks experience preferred.
• WHS requirements and safe work practices knowledge beneficial.
• Experience with grounds maintenance and machinery operation advantageous.
• Teamwork, training and continuous improvement orientation desirable.

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

The Facilities Officer role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the health unit by performing a variety of general facility and grounds maintenance tasks. You will work both indoors and outdoors, supporting the upkeep of buildings, fixtures, gardens, and grounds to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

In this role, you will undertake duties including rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, and grounds management. You will also operate machinery such as forklifts and tractors, install and maintain watering systems, and manage garden functions including planting, pruning, and pest control.
