Job summary

Stoddart is seeking a Maintenance officer to ensure safe, clean and efficient operations at its Brisbane facilities. You will perform maintenance tasks, operate an EWP up to 11m, run a ride-on sweeper, handle gardening, plumbing and general upkeep, and use a range of pneumatic and electrical tools to support daily production.

Ideal candidates will be skilled in yard work, non-technical plumbing, and safe use of tools, with a focus on safety systems, PPE, and height safety as part of ongoing site

Qualifications

• Must be capable of yard work and basic maintenance.
• Experience with non-technical plumbing tasks is required.
• Comfort handling electrical and pneumatic tools for routine tasks.
• Ability to resolve standard maintenance issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ability to safely work at heights and maintain PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate an EWP (up to 11m) safely.
• Operate a ride-on street sweeper and perform gardening tasks.
• Undertake general maintenance and non-technical plumbing tasks.
• Carry out routine factory maintenance and basic painting.
• Use pneumatic and electrical tools for everyday tasks.

The Maintenance officer is responsible for ensuring the Stoddart facilities are safe, clean, and operational through the effective completion of regular maintenance tasks. The role requires the ability to perform a variety of basic skills, including equipment operation, non-technical maintenance, gardening, and general housekeeping. The position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while adhering to Stoddart’s quality standards.

More specifically your duties will include the following:

Safely operate an EWP under 11m

Safely operate an Industrial Ride-on Sweeper

Undertake general gardening and landscaping tasks

Undertake non-technical plumbing tasks

Undertake routine factory maintenance

Operate a range of pneumatic and electrical tools

Basic painting

In determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:

Skilled at yard work

Skilled at providing non-technical plumbing maintenance

Skilled at using electrical and pneumatic tools

Skilled at providing solutions to routine maintenance requirements

Ability to safely work at heights

Ability to maintain PPE and report/replace defective items
