Job summary

St Pius X College invites applications for a Maintenance Officer to keep Chatswood and Oxford Falls campuses in good order. You will manage repairs and ensure facilities look presentable for staff and students.

The role covers gardening, cleaning, and operating vehicles with the appropriate licences, all while upholding WHS regulations. A proactive, detail-oriented candidate with property maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance and grounds upkeep.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Trade qualification in plumbing is preferred.
• Working with Children Check must be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of maintenance and repair tasks to high workmanship standards.
• Maintain and enhance the College's gardens, landscaping and presentation.
• Perform cleaning duties within College buildings and grounds to a high standard of hygiene, care and presentation.
• With appropriate licences, drive/operate College vehicles and equipment as required.
• Undertake training and develop skills relevant to the College's needs with College support.
• Know and apply WHS regulations and requirements.
• Induct and liaise with suppliers, tradesmen, contractors and specialists, overseeing WHS practices and protocols.
• Secure College premises as required.
