Job summary

Edcamps seeks a Facilities Coordinator to create safe, functional spaces for young people, guests and staff. This role involves hands-on maintenance, contractor coordination and safety checks, not a desk job.

You will manage routine and reactive maintenance, keep records, and support grounds care while working with the Centre Manager to keep the site running smoothly. A practical, can-do attitude is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance, facilities, trades, property or grounds care.
  • Strong practical skills using tools, equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete routine, preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Keep buildings, grounds and facilities safe, compliant and well-presented.
  • Lead and support day-to-day maintenance activities across the site.
  • Coordinate contractors and specialised service providers.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, inspections and compliance records.
  • Assist with grounds maintenance including mowing, pruning and seasonal upkeep.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues and solve problems quickly.
  • Support a positive safety culture and champion safe work practices.
  • Work closely with the Centre Manager and other departments to keep operations running smoothly.

We're looking for a Facilities Coordinator who takes pride in creating safe, functional and welcoming spaces for young people, guests and staff.

This isn't a desk job. One minute you're coordinating contractors, the next you're troubleshooting a maintenance issue, checking safety systems, mowing grounds, repairing equipment, or helping prepare the site for bushfire season. Every day is different, and that's exactly how you like it.

What you'll be doing

As our Facilities Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping our camp facilities, grounds, accommodation and equipment operating at their best.

You'll:

  • Coordinate and complete routine, preventative and reactivemaintenance
  • Keep buildings, grounds and facilities safe, compliant andwell-presented
  • Lead and support day-to-day maintenance activities acrossthe site
